SEIDOR brings together the country's leading universities to reflect on how to improve students' digital experience
The education sector will undergo a major transformation in the coming years, both in terms of educational policies in primary and secondary schools and in higher education in universities and business schools. The process of digitisation in the education sector is now unstoppable. For this reason, it is one of the key undertakings of SEIDOR, which today held a new conference on the sector with the collaboration of Adobe.
Under the title "Education and the digital student experience: a partnership with a future", the event was held at the popular Madrid's Garment Museum to discuss how digital experience platforms improve student engagement and experience.
In the context of a strategic relationship of more than 20 years of experience between ADOBE and SEIDOR, with more than 30 certifications and serving more than 500 customers, the higher education community was the topic of discussion at the event. This community, whose transformation is accelerated by the use of technology and which sees more and more private institutions breaking into higher education in Spain, increasingly makes institutions want to differentiate themselves by offering a unique digital experience to their students. In this sense, the evolution of some of Adobe's products such as Adobe Experience Cloud and its associated tools (Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Commerce and Marketo Engage) can be of great use when accompanied by specific strategies where SEIDOR as a consulting company and expert in the field of higher education has great experience. This is the case of the project deployed for the UOC which was analysed over the course of the day.
After a brief introduction by Búsqutista Borrell, director of the SEIDOR Edtech division, on the approach of SEIDOR in the higher education sector, Ángel Gonzálvez, Director of Public Sector and Education at Adobe, and Pablo Muñoz, a solutions consultant from the same company, highlighted Adobe's capabilities to improve "Digital Experiences" when using its products . Afterwards, Sergio Pérez, Director of Adobe Operations and Strategy at SEIDOR Opentrends, interviewed Ricard Mateu, CIO of the UOC, and Marcel Matencio, Director of Digital Services at the UOC, and took the opportunity to talk about their success story with their new platform built on Adobe Experience Cloud. Finally, Ian Gehlhaar, creative director of Fail Fast, SEIDOR Opentrends' specialist digital experience design agency, spoke on "From digital transformation to transformative culture", key to understanding the foundations of the digital experience for learners.
"The acquisition, retention and orientation of students towards greater employability is part of an end-to-end journey in which the student must have a unique digital experience, regardless of the information systems that each institution has", explains Baptista Borrell.
"Both the personalisation of content, at any point in the "Journey" in which the student contacts the institution, and the personalisation of content in the teaching and learning process, all in a friendly, usable and accessible digital environment, form part of what is understood to be the student's digital experience"
