IDC Report names SAP leader for ERP systems

According to a new report from the IDC, SAP has been named a market leader for its range of operational ERP solutions.

The IDC MarketScape report selected SAP as one of the world’s leading solutions vendors, incorporating features for sales, finance, purchasing and supply chain management to maximise operational efficiencies.

SAP says its recognition in the report is a "testament to our steadfast dedication to pushing the envelope and developing cutting-edge solutions for customers that leverage the greatest enterprise systems."

The report, IDC MarketScape Worldwide SaaS and Cloud-Enabled Operational ERP Applications 2022 Vendor Assessment, analysed functionality for recording key metrics to measure productivity, the reduction in manual processes, and cost-effective and efficient company-wide processes.

“Demand for cloud-based ERP applications continues to grow because of the ability to access and analyse massive amounts of data in near real-time and with anywhere, anytime access,” SAP added.

“Software-as-a-service (SaaS) and cloud-enabled ERP systems enable growing businesses to quickly expand into new regions around the globe without making major investments into their technology infrastructure because they are extremely adaptive to accelerated rates of change.”

SAP’s cloud-based ERP solutions include SAP Business One, SAP Business ByDesign and SAP S/4 HANA.
