SAP SMB Innovation Summit 2022 Review
After an unplanned two-year hiatus since the last Summit in Majorca, it was great to meet again in Dublin for SAP SMB Innovation Summit 2022.
Following similar events in Orlando and Manila this year, it was time for the EMEA conference in Dublin to kick off. Joost Tigelaar, Global Vice President of Sales for SAP Business One and SAP Business ByDesign, and Subho Sengupta, Senior Vice President, Global Head of SAP, Mid-Market, opened the event by discussing this year’s topic, “Follow the path to cloud ERP”.
SAP Business One, SAP Business ByDesign and SAP S/4 HANA were all outlined as solutions that can help drive SME success, reduce operational costs and reduce competitive risk to an organisation.
ERP Roadmaps
After the keynote speeches, the focus shifted to what’s next for SAP Business One and SAP Business ByDesign. Planned innovations include Outlook 365 and Teams integration, new SAP HANA features for analytics, and Windows 11 support and compatibility.
One of the most popular sessions was with Peter Dominik and Ari Scharpira, who both work closely with new developments in SAP Business One. In their session, they highlighted some new features planned for the B1 web client, including new tools for sales, purchasing, payment, service, financials, production, inventory and analytics.
Another highlight of the event was being able to see how SAP Business One and ByDesign are changing the way that SMEs operate. One breakout session focused on how SAP’s innovation is evolving small businesses into intelligent enterprises using automation, machine learning and AI.
Summit Awards
As well as celebrating the best in SMB innovation, the Summit was a chance for SAP to highlight some of its top-performing partners. Alongside receiving the SAP Pinnacle Award for SME Excellence earlier this year, SEIDOR was presented with the Best SAP Business One Partner in South EMEA; and the SAP Business One Partner for the most growth in the MENA region.
At the Boyum partner session, the accolades continued with SEIDOR awarded for Biggest Growth Contribution across the UK and Ireland.
As always, the Summit finished on a high note with a memorable networking dinner, some excellent Irish food and live music. Dublin, it was a pleasure. We’re already looking forward to the 2023 Innovation Summit.
