What is the difference between Public and Private Cloud?
SAP S/4HANA Cloud is offered in two versions: private and public editions.
- SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition: In this version, services are maintained by SAP on a private network protected by a firewall. This is a single-tenant environment.
- SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition: With this option, services are maintained by networks like AWS, Azure, and GCP that are open for public usage. SAP manages the software which is provided to you by subscription.
What are the different licensing options?
There are four S/4HANA licensing options for employees that are defined by the type of usage:
