Baleària counts on SAP S/4HANA's flexibility and innovation to upgrade its ERP

Baleària is the leading shipping group in Spain with 25 years of history in the maritime transport of passengers, vehicles and goods, operating 25 routes in 6 different countries: Spain, Morocco, Algeria, France, the United States and the Bahamas. Its mission is to build ships and open new passenger and cargo shipping lines to meet society's maritime transport needs while remaining a benchmark in the shipping sector. Technology and innovation are therefore two fundamental levers for Baleària's identity, competitiveness and leadership.

The company has a fleet of smart ships to offer a more complete and personalised end-to-end experience and exploit the capabilities of big data with the ultimate goal of becoming a data-driven company. In addition, it is committed to more sustainable mobility through the use of cleaner energy to achieve decarbonisation of their maritime activity by 2050.

As part of fulfilling its strategy, it needed to keep the ERP solution as up-to-date as possible. It was looking for a platform on which it would be easy to innovate, which would bring greater simplicity to management and a more user-friendly and collaborative environment. Therefore, they decided to convert "Brownfield" to the SAP S/4HANA system.
