Leadership in IT with Positive Impact

The need for skilled human talent and adopting a humanistic approach becomes crucial to successfully navigate this new technological landscape.

The Era of Digital Transformation: The Impact of Information Technologies on Innovation

We find ourselves immersed in a stage of accelerated development of IT. A period distinguished by its dynamism and transformative capacity. A phase in which, unlike any previous period, technology is acting as a catalyst for digital transformation and a driving force for innovation.

The technological factor is therefore leading a modernization that reaches all areas, from individual to collective; from services to industry; from infrastructure to public services; it is an impact that encompasses a competitive fabric formed by companies and organizations of all kinds, in which IT offers virtually unlimited possibilities for development.

This transformative power is multiplied by the convergence between Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud Computing, and Cybersecurity.

An increasingly close interrelationship between solutions and technologies that, in turn, accelerates their own evolutionary pace. In addition, its scope also extends to the most ingrained solutions, reinforcing the value contribution of ERP, Analytics, Blockchain, or Augmented Reality.

Let's take ERP to exemplify this leap in its value proposition. With the integration of AI, Cloud, and IoT, their functionalities multiply exponentially; AI provides advanced capabilities for predictive analysis and data processing; the Cloud offers the infrastructure to implement and scale systems; and IoT facilitates the interconnection between devices, allowing the collection and exchange of data in real time, which improves the accuracy and efficiency of operational management; to all this, we should add the central role of Cybersecurity, which protects organizations' perimeters against potential fraudulent attacks.

In the face of this unprecedented impact of technology, the need for suitable talent continues to increase. People are becoming the primary asset in the IT sector. Therefore, technology companies must prioritize their comprehensive development by investing in their training, education, and personal growth in all dimensions.

In this way, the impact of technological evolution on individuals, as well as the value of those who make its extension and implementation possible, makes it more necessary than ever to adopt a humanistic approach. Technological humanism emerges as a determining component to ensure that the evolution of IT has a positive impact on people, organizations, and the planet as a whole.

This orientation involves reclaiming essential values such as ethics, responsibility, or sustainability. It is about technology companies leading the transition towards these human-centered practices.

Thus, adopting this perspective encompasses a wide range of possibilities and opportunities to generate positive change in multiple areas. From the IT sector, we can lead the implementation of data centers with efficient energy consumption (Cloud), develop innovative solutions to improve critical sectors such as agriculture or health (IoT), or make effective cybersecurity solutions accessible to everyone.

The adoption of a people-centered vision becomes even more crucial in an environment where Artificial Intelligence (AI) is experiencing exponential growth. In the specific case of AI, the humanistic approach is promoting the adoption of standards that ensure its transparent and ethical use. This approach translates into promoting cooperation among different actors in the technological ecosystem and establishing clear governance regulations, which, among other issues, protect the rights and privacy of individuals.

We are witnessing a technological revolution that is transforming the way organizations operate and interact with technology. In this context, the need for suitable talent and adopting a humanistic approach become crucial to navigate successfully through this new technological landscape.

How to humanise technology

The dictionary of the Royal Spanish Academy (RAE) says that to humanise is "to make someone or something human, familiar and sociable". So in this regard, to humanise technology is to create a technology that goes beyond pure functionality to create a pleasant interaction through ergonomics and more user-friendly interfaces, by developing reliable and accessible technologies with systems and algorithms that conform to ethical and political intuitions and avoid bias or manipulation.
